The Oppo Find N6 has been officially unveiled. It’s powered by a Snapdragon Elite 8 Gen 5 chip, 12GB/16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and UFS 4.1 storage options of 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB.
Major improvements
Another improvement concerns the battery, which now has a capacity of 6000 mAh (up from 5600 mAh) and is made of silicon-carbon alloy, with the same 80W SuperVOOC and 50W AirVOOC fast charging. The new smartphone is virtually identical in size to its predecessor and has the same display diagonal. However, Oppo has redesigned the hinge—it now uses a second-generation Titanium Flexion design, which is 11% wider and has more travel when opening and closing, reducing wear over time. Furthermore, the crease in the middle of the screen is now virtually invisible. Oppo used laser scanning to measure the hinge surface with an accuracy of 0.3 micrometers and then applied 3D printing with liquid polymers. This reduced the hinge unevenness from approximately 0.2 mm to 0.05 mm. Oppo claims to have certified the Find N6 to TÜV Rheinland standards for 600,000 folds with a flat display and up to 1 million folds overall. It meets IP56/IP58/IP59 protection standards.
The Find N6 features a new 200-megapixel main camera on the back, but the sensor size remains the same at 1/1.56 inches (ISOCELL HP5). The zoom lens uses the same 1/2.75-inch sensor (ISOCELL JN5), but a slightly different lens: 70 mm f/2.7 (versus 75 mm f/2.7). Only the ultra-wide-angle camera has been significantly improved: it now features a new 50-megapixel 1/2.75-inch sensor (JN5) and a new 15 mm f/2.0 lens with autofocus. Both screens also feature new front-facing cameras: a 20-megapixel 1/3.42-inch (ISOCELL KD1). The displays’ brightness has increased—the external display reaches a maximum brightness of 1800 nits outdoors, with a peak brightness of 3600 nits. The internal display’s brightness is 1800/2500 nits. Otherwise, the diagonals and resolutions remain the same: a 6.62-inch LTPO (1-120 Hz) with a resolution of 2616 x 1140 pixels on the external display and an 8.12-inch LTPO (1-120 Hz) with a resolution of 2480 x 2248 pixels on the internal display.
