The new product is 40% thinner than its predecessor, while its battery has been increased.
The ring is 40% smaller than its predecessor—the company says it’s the smallest smart ring in the world. Battery life has also increased to 6-9 days, compared to 5-8 days for the previous generation.
Oura has redesigned the sensors for better skin contact and added more powerful LEDs to improve tracking accuracy. The company has also launched a Health Radar feature for background monitoring of key metrics to identify negative trends in real time. Currently, sleep respiration and blood pressure tracking are supported.
Oura will also add professional medical assistance to its app—for a separate subscription, users will be able to communicate with doctors and receive medical consultations, including those based on the included test results.
