Googlebook specifically for Gemini
Google announced a line of premium Googlebook computers designed specifically to integrate Gemini Intelligence and ChromeOS.
It’s worth clarifying that this isn’t a specific laptop that Google itself will produce; Googlebooks are a separate line of devices that will support all Gemini features. Google already has a similar division, for example, the Chromebook Plus line, which includes laptops from a variety of companies.
Google promises several innovations in the new devices: the laptops will receive a dedicated Gemini key on the keyboard, and the system will feature Magic Pointer, which will turn the cursor into a pointer for Gemini, which will be able to recognize the object it’s pointing at and provide contextual help.
Google also promises advanced app syncing with Android and file system integration between your smartphone and computer, allowing you to transfer files from your smartphone to your laptop with a single click.
Googlebooks will be produced by Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, and Lenovo. The first devices will be available in the fall of 2026. They will be distinguished by a colored Glowbar, which appeared on the Pixel C tablet many years ago and served to display battery life.
